Anxious Bieber avoided Gervais at Globes

Justin Bieber reportedly asked to be kept apart from Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes to avoid becoming the butt of the comic's jokes. The 16-year-old was said to be afraid the British star would make him look stupid, and according to the Daily Star Sunday, Zac Efron had to be drafted in to present an award with Bieber to act as a buffer between him and show host Gervais. Speaking before the ceremony last night, a source told the newspaper: "Justin is very concerned about being the butt of Ricky's jokes. The organisers were asked not to let him have to go on the stage alone and face Ricky - hence Zac Efron's appearance alongside him. And his team are not going to let him anywhere near Justin when he is backstage. In fact, it looks as if Justin will arrive at the last possible time to keep out of Ricky's way! He's petrified of being made to look a fool. Let's face it, Ricky wouldn't spare him just because he's a kid!"...
